Une journée inoubliable au cœur de Londres
Nos 25 élèves, accompagnés de 5 professeurs, ont vécu une magnifique journée de découverte dans la capitale britannique. Malgré un ciel typiquement londonien alternant nuages et éclaircies, le soleil s’est finalement invité pour mettre en valeur les plus célèbres monuments de la ville.
La journée a débuté par une promenade dans le quartier de Westminster, où les élèves ont pu admirer le majestueux Palace of Westminster, l’emblématique Big Ben et le célèbre London Eye. Ce fut l’occasion de découvrir l’histoire des institutions britanniques tout en profitant d’une ambiance animée au cœur de Londres.
Le groupe a ensuite embarqué pour une croisière sur la Tamise, offrant un point de vue privilégié sur les monuments et les ponts qui bordent le fleuve. Cette balade commentée a permis aux élèves d’observer Londres sous un autre angle et d’en apprendre davantage sur son patrimoine historique et architectural.
Tout au long de cette journée, les élèves ont fait preuve de curiosité, de bonne humeur. Ils ont également pu mettre en pratique leurs compétences en anglais dans des situations authentiques, que ce soit pour s’orienter, échanger avec les habitants ou découvrir la culture britannique.
Cette belle journée restera, nous l’espérons, un bon souvenir de leurs scolarité au lycée Alfred Nobel.
An unforgettable day in the heart of London
Our 25 students, accompanied by 5 teachers, enjoyed an unforgettable day exploring the British capital. Although the weather was typically London-like, with clouds giving way to sunshine, the bright spells beautifully highlighted the city’s most iconic landmarks.
The day began with a walk around Westminster, where students admired the magnificent Palace of Westminster, the world-famous Big Ben, and the impressive London Eye. It was a great opportunity to learn more about British history and institutions while experiencing the lively atmosphere of central London.
The group then took a cruise along the River Thames, offering spectacular views of London’s famous landmarks and historic bridges. From the river, students discovered the city from a unique perspective while learning more about its rich history and architecture.
Throughout the day, the students showed curiosity, enthusiasm and exemplary behaviour. They also had many opportunities to practise their English in real-life situations, whether asking for directions, interacting with local people or simply experiencing British culture firsthand.
We hope this wonderful day will remain a fond memory of their time at Alfred Nobel High School.
